The entire game of airsoft is built around airsoft arms: that is to say, the weapons (or armaments) that you're using to shoot at your enemies with. I don't know how to elaborate on that, except to say this: in much the same way that a knight swore by his sword, an airsoft warrior should swear by the righteousness of his airsoft arms.
Airsoft Arms are represented by the great AK47, the venerable MP5, the most righteous Desert Eagle. They are the modern equivalent of the gladiator's mace and shield. They are the tools of the trade, and the trade is fun, but it is also combat fought at its most engaged and sincere.
Airsoft Arms: Your Passport to Valor
One of the great charms of airsoft is the fact that you get to play these blood-games of valor, but nobody gets hurt. Airsoft is spontaneous, interactive theater, played out as a war game. You make up the script every time you open your mouth. You determine the story by how well you play.
Airsoft arms are old-fashioned dueling weapons, bloodlessly played out in the service of fun. I keep using the word fun, because that is the ultimate point of airsoft. Past a certain point, all this high-faluting talk becomes nonsense. If it's not fun, then why do it? This is particularly true because airsoft would be fun, no matter why you did it.
