Airsoft gas shotguns seem like the most natural must-have purchases in the world. To get that nice hard blowback kick that a shotgun delivers is a powerful feeling. That's why I'm pleased to bring up a line of serious shooting irons that I'm pretty excited about.
It's Maruzen's M1100 line of Airsoft Gas Shotguns, and it's a doozy. Maruzen has stepped up to the plate--where no one else dared tread--and opened up this long-overdue territory for airsoft fans. These are cool guns, running from ominous black to a beautiful model with wood stock and handgrip.
Airsoft Gas Shotguns, at Last!
The weird thing is that though they're airsoft guns, they shoot not BB's or paintballs but these airsoft shotgun shells. That's great for target shooting, but I don't see the rules of airsoft competition modifying to accommodate them.
Of course, once the airsoft hand grenade is harmlessly perfected, we'll probably get around to non-maiming airsoft land mines and heavy artillary. (I still miss the Gatling gun.) The point is that Maruzen's airsoft gas shotguns are not only super cool, but they are also only the beginning.
