The Viper USA airsoft riot shotgun is another shotgun that is rife with controversy in the airsoft world today. It's a pump action shotgun that looks good, feels good, and definitely intrigues when you look at an ad. The question is: does it shoot worth a darn; and almost more important, does it hold up under fire?

The main thing I keep hearing, over and over, is that the Viper falls apart: that the inner workings of the slide pump that cocks it are made of cheap plastic which degrades within weeks. It has also been said that many sites won't offer a warranty on this weapon, which is always a bad sign.
