When you consider what you pay for a good gas-powered sniper gun, cheap airsoft spring rifles seem like one heck of a bargain. That's probably because they are one heck of a bargain; you'd be hard-pressed to find a better shooting iron at the price, no matter what you're firing out of it.
Let's take, for example, the HK Super 368 spring airsoft rifle. This little unit holds 100 rounds at a time, and fires them off at 270 fps (feet per second). It's got a range of 100-130 feet, which is still plenty of room between yourself and the person you're hitting. It also comes with its own sling.

Try getting a gas-powered airsoft rifle for that price! That's what you'd pay for a good supply of gas canisters (enough to get you through an all-day firefight).
Maybe money isn't your first priority when considering which weapon to purchase next. If that's true, then you are one extremely fortunate man or woman. For most of us, cheap airsoft spring rifles are excellent fallbacks, while we save up for the fancy-pants firepower. We are not ashamed.
