Pellet guns prove exceedingly useful during individual combat. However, spring loaded weapons, like the spring Desert Eagle or the UHC MP5K, are usually too slow to respond to rapid fire AEGs in conventional tournament settings. Thus, unless you've developed pinpoint targeting accuracy, you don't want to go out on the battlefield armed with pellet guns.

That said, indoor paintball enthusiasts often like the hit-and-run sniper approach that keen Pellet Guns offer. Unloading with heavy artillery automatic electric guns identifies your position in an indoor maze with absolute certainty. Your combatants will instantly know your position the minute you squeeze that trigger.

Sniping Strategies with Paintball Pellet Guns
Yet if you're careful, you can stalk behind enemy lines with a pellet gun assembly that requires lock and load for every shot. Although the single fire approach does not guarantee stealth, it at least does not preclude the possibility of sniping. That said, most paintball experts shun spring loaded assault rifles in serious combat play.

If you're keen on subtle, sniper-ish maneuvers, you might want to set your AEG on single action pump. While the electric motor will be a give away to a trained opponent's ear, you can still pull off some basic stealth maneuvers. Keep in mind that this one pump sniper approach only really works for indoor battles. If you face off in an outdoor arena, you should forego the single pump for pure fire AEG action 100 percent of the time.
